Buying Guide

  • These three rings are designed to meet different health management needs with distinct feature sets. The main differences are as follows:

    1. Gen 3 (Advanced – Vascular Health Management)

It adds blood pressure trend tracking and vibration alerts. It supports more comprehensive health monitoring, including sleep apnea risk monitoring, heart rate, blood oxygen, exercise, stress, and women's health management. It features an aerospace-grade titanium outer ring with a brushed finish for a more premium look and feel. Weighing approximately 2.5–3.5g, the ring battery life is up to 14 days, with a total battery life of over 150 days when used with the charging case.

    2. Gen 2 (Flagship – Sleep-focused health management)

Focused on sleep apnea risk monitoring, it supports sleep, stress, heart rate, exercise, blood oxygen, and women's health management. It does not support blood pressure trend tracking or vibration alerts. It also features an aerospace-grade titanium outer ring, weighs approximately 2–3g, and offers up to 12 days of battery life for the ring itself, with a total battery life of over 150 days with the charging case.

    3. Gen 2 Air (Entry-level – Daily health tracking)

This model provides essential health tracking for daily use and offers a more affordable option. It does not support sleep apnea monitoring, blood pressure trend tracking, or vibration alerts. The outer ring is made of stainless steel, weighs approximately 2.5–4g, and the battery life of the ring is up to 10 days. It uses a charging dock (charging only, does not extend battery life).

  • Here's how Gen 3 differs from Gen 2 and Gen 2 Air:

    1. Feature Differences

Gen 3 includes two features not available on Gen 2 and Gen 2 Air:

  • The sizing of the RingConn Gen 3 Smat Ring differs from Gen 2, Gen 2 Air, and Gen 1. It is recommended to use the Gen 3 sizing kit to determine the correct size.

  • Whether to upgrade to Gen 3 depends on your health priorities and budget.

If you care about vascular health (such as hypertension risk), want to receive real-time alerts (e.g., health alerts or sedentary reminders) via vibration, or are interested in Gen 3's colors and brushed finish, it can significantly enhance both your health tracking experience and overall style. In this case, upgrading to Gen 3 is recommended.

If your current Gen 2 or Gen 2 Air already meets your needs, there is no need to upgrade at this time.

  • Compared to smartwatches, the RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring offers advantages in comfort, battery life, and multi-parameter health tracking, specifically:

    1. More Continuous Blood Pressure Trend Insights

Unlike some watches that only support spot measurements, the RingConn Gen 3 smart ring provides continuous blood pressure trend tracking at rest, helping identify changes in blood pressure and supporting daily health management.

    2. Longer Battery Life

The Gen 3 offers up to 14 days of battery life, and up to 150+ days with the charging case—so you can wear it for extended periods without worrying about charging.

    3. More Comfortable Wearing Experience

Weighing approximately 2.5–3.5 grams, it is lighter than a smartwatch, suitable for all-day wear, and especially comfortable and barely noticeable while sleeping.

    4. More Comprehensive Health Monitoring

Supports multi-dimensional health tracking including blood pressure trends, sleep, sleep apnea monitoring, heart rate, blood oxygen, activity, stress, and women's health, meeting a wide range of health management needs.

Ring Care

  • 1. Wear and Safety

Finger size may change over time or due to temperature changes. If you have difficulty removing the ring, you can lubricate it with cold water or soapy water, or raise your hand above heart level and try again. If you still cannot remove it, please seek medical attention promptly.

    2. Appearance Protection

It is recommended to remove the ring during strength training or when it may come into contact with hard objects to avoid wear or scratches.

    3. Cleaning and Maintenance

The ring can be cleaned with water and mild soap, and wiped with a soft cloth. Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner or alcohol to clean the ring.

    4. Waterproof Instructions

The ring is water-resistant for daily use (IP68/10ATM) and can be worn while bathing or swimming. However, avoid using it in high-temperature and high-humidity environments such as hot springs and saunas.

    5. Battery Maintenance

When not in use for an extended period, place the ring in a powered charging case and enable Long Storage Mode in the App (path: "Me" > "Ring Settings" > "Long Storage Mode"). It is recommended to charge both the ring and the charging case at least once every 15 days.

    6. Data Synchronization

The ring can store up to approximately 10 days of data. It is recommended to open the App daily to sync data and avoid losing records.

  • The working temperature range of RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring is: 0°C - 40°C / 32°F - 104°F.

  • When you are not wearing your ring for a long period of time, you can activate Long Storage Mode. The ring will enter a dormant state to prevent excessive battery drain and performance degradation, helping it stay in optimal condition so it can accompany you for longer.

  • Before enabling Long Storage Mode, ensure the ring battery level is above 50%. Path: "Me" > "Ring Settings" > "Long Storage Mode". It is recommended to place the ring in the charging case before enabling this mode. In this case, both the ring and the charging case will enter Long Storage Mode; if not, only the ring will enter this mode.

  • You can turn off Long Storage Mode by following these steps:

    1. Place the ring into the charging case or charging dock and connect it to a Type-C power source.

    2. Once the ring is powered on, the blue indicator light will turn on.

    3. Then turn off Long Storage Mode via: "Me" > "Ring Settings" > "Long Storage Mode".

If the indicator light does not turn on, please ensure the device is powered and try removing and reinserting the ring.

Connection

  • The Bluetooth connection range between the Gen 3 Smart Ring and your phone is typically around 5–20 meters. The actual range can vary depending on factors like the environment, your phone model, nearby interference, and how you wear the ring, so it may differ in different situations.

  • Don't worry 😊—this usually happens when the Bluetooth signal temporarily "gets lost." Try these steps to quickly restore the connection:

Step 1 | Clean and Charge

Wipe the charging contacts on both the ring and the charging case/dock with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris (do not use alcohol). Place the ring into the charging case/dock and confirm the indicator light is flashing to show it is charging. Let the ring charge for 30–60 minutes before attempting to reconnect.

Step 2 | Restart the Ring

Place the RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring into the charging case, then press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the case for 3 seconds. If the blue indicator light flashes, the restart is successful. If the light does not turn on, the restart has failed—please check whether the charging case has sufficient battery. (We recommend recording a video of this step to help our team assist you if the problem persists.)

Step 3 | Reset Bluetooth Settings

Go to your phone's Settings > "Bluetooth", find RingConn-xxxx, and select "Forget This Device" or "Unpair." Then restart Bluetooth from the phone’s Settings menu (please do not toggle Bluetooth off and on from the quick/shortcut panel).

Step 4 | Ensure the app has the connection permissions

Confirm that the app has been granted the Nearby Devices permission (path: "Settings" > "Apps" > RingConn > Permissions). On Android devices, please disable Smart Cleanup or similar battery optimization features to ensure the app can continue running in the background.

    Step 5 | Re-pair and Update Firmware

Open the RingConn App and follow the instructions to scan and bind your ring. After a successful connection, go to "Me" > "Version Management" > "Firmware Version" and upgrade to the latest version to ensure optimal stability.

    Step 6 | Cross-test

Try using a family member's phone to test. This can rule out device-specific compatibility issues.

Still having trouble? If you have completed all the steps and still cannot connect, please send us a video of your restart attempt for further troubleshooting.

  • Remove connection with your Ring:

    1. Click the "Me" page.

    2. Click the "Ring Settings."

    3. Click "Remove Connected Device."

    4. Click the "Confirm" button to finish removing the connection.

    5. After removing the connection, please delete it under the Bluetooth menu of your phone.

  • If you need to re-pair the Bluetooth connection, please try the following steps:

1.Check the ring status: Make sure the ring has enough battery and is not in Flight Mode. Place it in the charging case first—if the blue light turns on, it is charging normally. Charge it for a few minutes before proceeding.

2.Remove old pairing records: On your phone, go to Settings → Bluetooth, find the device named "RingConn-xxx", and delete it.

3.Reconnect in the app: Fully close and reopen the RingConn App to allow it to automatically search for and connect to your ring. Some phones may take longer—please keep the app open on the screen and avoid switching to other apps during this time.

4.Restart the ring: Place the RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring into the charging case, then press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the case for 3 seconds. If the blue indicator light flashes, the restart is successful. If the light does not turn on, the restart has failed—please check whether the charging case has sufficient battery.

If the issue still cannot be resolved, please provide two videos:

    1. A video showing the ring reset process.

    2. A video showing how the ring is worn on the finger pad (about 1 minute).

Please email the videos along with a brief description of the issue to cs@ringconn.com. We will do our best to help you troubleshoot. Thank you for your patience and support!

Charging

  • We recommend using a standard USB-C charging adapter at home to charge the ring.

  • The indicator lights of the RingConn Gen 3 Charging Case are categorized into external and internal lights:

    1. External lights

    • Solid orange: Battery level is between 0% and 20%.

    • Solid blue: Battery level is between 20% and 100%.

    • Charging status:

Solid orange when charging below 100%

Solid blue when fully charged (100%)

    • Flashing orange: Charging error (input or output issue).

    2. Internal lights

    • Pulsing blue: The ring is charging.

    • Solid blue: Charging is complete.

  • The RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring supports magnetic charging and takes about 90 minutes to fully charge.

  • It takes approximately 120 minutes to fully charge the RingConn Gen 3 Charging Case (0%–100%).

Battery Life

  • • Vibration enabled: 10–12 days of battery life

    • Vibration off: 11–14 days of battery life

  • The RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring features a built-in lithium battery with upgraded materials and structure. With RingConn's proprietary EcoPower Tech 2.0, energy density is approximately 11.1% higher than the previous generation, enabling up to 14 days of battery life for longer use.

  • The battery capacity of RingConn Gen 3 ranges from 13 mAh to 16.5 mAh, with specific values varying depending on the size:

    • 6-7: 13mAh

    • 8-11: 15mAh

    • 12-15: 16.5mAh

  • If you notice reduced battery life on your Gen 3 Smart Ring, it may be related to temperature changes, device conditions, or physical impacts during use. Please check the following:

    1. Have you used the ring frequently in very hot or cold environments?

    2. Has the ring been dropped, bumped, or otherwise impacted recently?

    3. Has the ring been unused for a long time?

If you plan to stop using the ring for a while, we recommend enabling Long Storage Mode (path: "Me" > "Ring Settings" > "Long Storage Mode") to help protect the battery and reduce the impact of inactivity.

If the issue persists after these checks, or if the battery continues to drain quickly, please contact the RingConn customer service team for further assistance.

Blood Pressure Trends

  • Gen 3 features Blood Pressure Trends, which helps assess your vascular load and provides trend insights. It offers two modes:

    1. Automatic Assessment

Gen 3 can automatically assess your vascular load while you sleep or when your hand remains still. To enable it: Go to Discover > enter the Blood Pressure Trends page > tap the "…" in the top right corner > select Auto Check.

    2. Manual Assessment

Gen 3 also allows you to check your current vascular load at any time. Go to Discover > enter the Blood Pressure Trends page > tap the Check Again button at the bottom of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Note:

Before using Blood Pressure Trends for the first time, you need to calibrate the ring with a blood pressure monitor. Calibration steps:

    1. Measure your blood pressure using a RingConn or other monitor, then enter the data.

    2. Use the ring to collect data.

    3. For initial calibration, it is recommended to measure once in the morning, afternoon, and evening. After that, recalibrate every 28 days to maintain accuracy.

  • Gen 2 and Gen 2 Air do not support Blood Pressure Trends and will not receive this feature in future updates. This feature is exclusive to Gen 3.

  • Vascular load refers to the pressure or stress experienced by the vascular system during blood flow. It describes the strain on blood vessel walls and is influenced by factors such as blood pressure, blood flow velocity, and vascular elasticity.

An increased vascular load may be associated with conditions such as hypertension and arteriosclerosis. Over time, consistently high vascular load may damage blood vessels and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Vascular load can fluctuate based on daily conditions, for example:

    • Changes in blood pressure (e.g., elevated or highly variable levels)

    • Exercise or activity intensity (may increase after strenuous activity)

    • Emotional stress (such as tension or anxiety)

    • Sleep quality (insufficient or poor-quality sleep)

    • Lifestyle habits (such as diet and daily routines)

Vibration

  • The RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring includes a vibration feature. You can enable or disable it via: "Me" > "App Settings" > "Notification Settings" > "Vibration".

  • In the RingConn App, go to "Me" > "App Settings" > "Notification Settings" > "Vibration" to enable or disable vibration for different scenarios, such as battery reminder, sedentary reminder, and health alerts.

  • The RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring will send vibration alerts when your health data is abnormal, you have been sitting for a long period, or the ring battery is low. You can enable or disable vibration alerts, and set Do Not Disturb periods via:

"Me" > "App Settings" > "Notification Settings" > "Vibration".

  • Gen 3 includes a vibration alert feature, but it is triggered only under specific conditions and does not indicate a malfunction. The following conditions must be met at the same time:

1.The RingConn App is open and active.

    2. The ring is connected to the app.

    3. When the ring's battery level is above 20%, health alerts and sedentary reminders will be sent as vibration alerts.

    4. The first time the ring's battery level enters the 10%–20% range, a low battery alert will be sent as a vibration alert.

Only after these conditions are met will low battery reminder, health alerts, sedentary reminder, and other notifications be delivered to the user through ring vibrations.

Data Syncing

  • The RingConn Gen 3 Smart Ring supports up to 10 days of offline data storage.

  • Historical monitoring data will be retained in your RingConn App account. Before switching to Gen 3, please ensure that the data from the old device has been fully synced to the RingConn App, and then bind the new device using the same app account to continue viewing historical data.

Please note: Data is bound to the app account, not the ring. If you change the bound ring before the old device completes data synchronization, it may result in some historical data being unavailable for viewing.

  • To sync data from the RingConn App to Apple Health, please follow the steps below:

    1. Open the RingConn App and go to "Me" > "App Settings" > "Data Management" > "Connect to Apple Health", then tap Allow Apple Health Access.

    2. Open the Apple Health app, tap your profile icon in the top right corner, select "Apps" under "Privacy", and find "RingConn".

    3. Choose the data you want to allow "RingConn" to write. Once enabled, data from the RingConn Health app will automatically sync to Apple Health.

  • RingConn currently uses a scheduled data synchronization mechanism, and the sync timing may vary by data type:

    • Steps, calories, blood oxygen, and heart rate: synced to Apple Health approximately every 30 minutes.

    • Sleep, height, and weight: synced to Apple Health once the data has been fully generated.

As a result, some data may appear with a short delay in Apple Health. This is normal behavior.
